Re: How to set the table for a tDbfBrowse?

Although I do have complaints, I don't believe that asking for help on a forum constitutes a complaint. Perhaps I'm stupid or have a mental block, when it comes to these types of problems. It's possible. Or maybe I'm so used to the automated generation of common components in modern IDEs, that my sp...

Re: How to set the table for a tDbfBrowse?

Hi, I added a field SAVEHTML to the table, and then unsuccessfully tried to add a column. The entire browse truncated to only 2 columns, after trying to add a new column. I happened several times. So I went into the source folder, Edited frm_Config_Edit.xfm, and cloned another boolean field. It most...

The laptop, where I have the problems described below, is Windows 10 with an SSD drive. If you have any suggestions, let me know. Otherwise, we can close this problem thr...

How to set the table for a tDbfBrowse?

Hi, Can someone forward instructions about how to simply attach a table to tDBFBrowse or tCDXDataSource or tDBFBrowse, or whatever we're supposed to use? I've been looking at the c:\Xailer6\Samples\Browses\BrwEdit sample for hours, and can't figure out how they connect the actual table to the Browse...

Got it, thanks.

Hi, I just recently installed 6.2, and harbour in \xailer6\hb32. The setup program installed mingw in c:\xailer6\hb32\comp\mingw. The library crtbegin.o is in c:\xailer6\hb32\comp\mingw\lib\gcc\mingw32\4.9.2. But the Xailer linker seems to be looking for these libraries in c:/xailer6/hb32/comp/mingw...

However, after removing Debug info, and trying to build the final executable, it will no longer link and create the exe. The error is C:/Xailer/hb32/Lib/Win/mingw/libhbrtl.a(gtsys...

Re: Does Xailer support console applications?

Ok, I got the thing built. But it doesn't work as expected. You can debug through the code, but when you run it on a windows command line, it doesn't show anything.

If there are some particular settings that need to be populated, please let me know, thanks.

Does Xailer support console applications?

Hi, My original question was whether we can take some console environment code, that doesn't have any third party references, and debug it in the Xailer IDE. It looks like the answer is yes, but it's not clear how to call a console function. So for example to test the debugger, Procedure Main() Appl...

Re: Why don't the string or number comparisons work?

If the LogDebug() statements are thrown in, then they are executed. But the statement s_BreakPointString := s_BreakPointString is never reached. It's just skipped over. It looks like Harbour is just ignoring trivial statements that assign variables to themselves. Anyway, I seem to have the main prog...

Why don't the string or number comparisons work?

Hi, In the code below, the problem is that the string and number conversions don't work. Below, we assign 5 to n_Number; and "test" to s_String. But when we run it, the condition is never executed. I tried setting the 's_BreakPointString := s_BreakPointString' lines as breakpoints, and it ...

Hi,

What's the recommended way to clone a project, rename it, and remove one or two components? Should I just copy the whole project to another folder, open it in the new folder, and start renaming and removing within the IDE?

My previous post, seems to be missing from the forum

Hi, I had a question about passing data from one main form to secondary forms, maybe a month or so ago. But it seems to be removed. I've forwarded you the emails from Xailer, which contain the serial numbers. I can't tell which one, is the regular desktop license, and which is for the Flash Drive.

Well, I went ahead and tried to install it on a flash drive. I copied a licensed desktop version to the flash drive, then brought the flash drive to another PC without a license.
